Scrubs Magazine Nurse Blog Carnival Empowers Nurses
Nurses have been coming online and looking for community since the internet was first created. Nurse bloggers take this a few steps farther and create their own communities around their individual specialties and topics they are passionate about. Like most blogging niches, the creators of nursing blogs general comments on each other’s content, and may even create a guest post every now and then. However, major collaboration doesn’t always happen.
There have been a few blog carnivals in the past. Change of Shift, for example, was hosted or the nursing blog Emergiblog. But it has been quite some time since there was a continuous and rolling effort to get nurse blogger all talking about the same topic at the same time. Until Scrubs Magazine stepped up the plate.
Since Scrubs Magazine is a blog and print magazine that is focused on helping nurses to live a better life, it seemed only natural to be the leader. Nurses are coming online every day to search for topics that are affecting their stress level, their moral, their salaries, and their career outlook. What better way to give nurses the resources they need than to have a team of talented nurse bloggers participate in a blog carnival?
If you’ve never heard of a blog carnival, then you’re missing out. For bloggers it’s a great way to network with other bloggers and share your content. But where a blog carnival really shines is in it’s benefits to readers. All the information you are looking for has been curated or created and placed in one page that is easy to read, organized, and usually very entertaining. All this information comes together to create excellent resources to empower nurses.
From Scrubs Magazine:
A blog carnival is a series of blog posts hosted on different, related blogs which ¦ contains links to other articles covering a specific topic. Most blog carnivals are hosted by a rotating list of frequent contributors to the carnival, and serve to both generate new posts by contributors and highlight new bloggers posting matter in that subject area. Think of it as a regular blogger’s round-table where the community can weigh in on specified topics.
So far there have been some amazing collections of nursing content created on a wide variety of topics.
