RN to BSN Online
This online degree is designed to assist those who already hold an RN (registered nurse) license and want to get their BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree. The program itself has existed for over 40 years, but it is now available online as well. Those who take part in the program are supported by student affairs and academics. The CNM (certified nurse midwife) program teaches students to be the care provider for women before, during and after pregnancy. Although a large focus is on delivering babies, they also deal with all other aspects of women’s health, including disease prevention, counseling, family planning, prenatal care, caring for babies, and more. With this degree, students can get to work in private offices, hospitals and various other health care clinics. It is a fully accredited program, which means employment can be sought in any of the 50 states and around the world. On completion of the program, students must take the AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board) exam.Family Nurse Practitioner Program
The FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) program focuses on delivering health care for every person in a family. An FNP sees a family as a unit, rather than a collection of individuals. This means that, once graduated, students will work with people of all ages and in a variety of different settings. This include pediatrician offices, community health care settings, hospitals and more.
