Nevada is famous the world over for being home to Las Vegas, where gambling is the order of the day. But there is actually much more to the state than that. Some 3 million people live here currently, and those numbers are growing. The economy is based largely on tourism and gambling and, to some degree, agriculture, but its economy is also growing and now includes warehousing, mining and trucking. There are not that many nursing programs on offer in the state, but the ones that do exist are really good. Additionally, the opportunities for those who graduate from a Nevada school are getting better.

If you complete your BSN (bachelor of science in nursing), you will need to take the NCLEX-RN examination to become a registered nurse (RN). Because the population of Nevada is aging rapidly, added to the fact that the population is growing, the demand for nurses is increasing as well. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, some 23,000 RNs are currently employed in Nevada. Their mean annual salary is $89,750. However, not all RNs hold a BSN degree, and those who do tend to earn above the average.

It is very important to do your research before choosing a school to enroll in.  There are currently five schools that offer BSN programs and they are listed below.
