Janice Monti

After earning her Ph.D. from Carleton University, Janice Monti taught sociology at Dominican University for over three decades, where she held the title of Distinguished Service Professor for her continuous record of scholarship, innovative teaching, and faculty leadership. The university awarded her the honorary designation of Professor Emerita upon her retirement in 2017.

Monti's extensive publication record spans several areas in social science, popular culture, and race.
